• When life starts falling apart, where do you instinctively look first for rescue or security?
• What has fear exposed about what you trust most right now?
• Which “chariots and horses” (Psalms 20:7) are most tempting for you to rely on instead of God?
• Where have you seen idols make promises they cannot keep—security, peace, hope, or completeness?
• What might it look like to treat a current or past “flood” as revelation rather than only loss, asking, “Lord, what are You trying to show me?”

Ask God directly, “Lord, what are You trying to teach me, and what foundation are You revealing?” Pay attention to what you run to for peace or control when you feel shaken, and let that exposure lead you back to trusting Jesus Christ.
